Sonisphere has the following campsites, all of which are a short walk to the arena:

General Campsite

The general campsite has showers (payable on site) and toilets, a 24 hour breakfast café plus loads of other food vendors, a 24 hour supermarket, a bar selling cold slabs of beer and cider plus staffed information tents to help you find everything you need.

There are places that sell vegetarian, vegan and gluten free foods, but if you have a restricted diet we recommend you bring supplies with you.

This year at Sonisphere you can take the tent out of the equation by ordering a tent ahead of the festival and picking it up when you arrive.

It means you don’t have the hassle of travelling with it to Knebworth or then having to transport your tent from your car to camp site.

There’s a choice of six Halfords tents on offer that sleep between two and six people. Simply place your order at www.halfords.com/sonisphere and forget about having to transport a tent to the festival and then carry it to the campsite.

Quiet Campsite

The Quiet Campsite is designed for those who want to get their beauty sleep and get the energy stored up to tackle the next day.

There will be a charter of behaviour for the quiet campsite, displayed at the entrance to it. Anyone found to behaving in a way that is not in keeping with this charter will be asked to move to another campsite.

A separate camping field is available for campervans. Each person staying in the campervan must individually have a standard camping ticket plus one Campervan Ticket per campervan. Campervan tickets are limited and must be booked in advance. Please note that these have always sold out quickly, so don’t delay.

Campervans are defined as a self-propelled vehicle that has been either designed or converted to contain a sleeping area.  You may pitch one tent OR awning (of a reasonable size) with each vehicle.

Please note that cars, caravans, trailer tents or anything that needs a car to pull it are not permitted.

There is a ban on gas within the campsites. However gas attached to a fixed cooking area within a campervan will be permitted. The campervan field will contain its own toilet block and campervan customers will be able to gain access to the main campsite to visit friends and access the shower blocks. However please note that general ticket holders will not be able to get access to the campervan field.

Electrical hook-ups are not available.

Rock Royalty Campsite

The Rock Royalty Campsite is for those who like their festivals to be a little more comfortable than the norm. There are a variety of both cosy and spacious structures that you can hire, such as podpads, tipis or cosy cubes. You can also bring your own tent and benefit from having more space, higher spec facilities and the ability to park next to your sleeping area. For more details please see the Rock Royalty pages.

Restricted Items

  • Gas Cookers – There is no gas allowed on site except for campervans as specified above. You can bring disposable BBQs for use in the communal BBQ pits or other solid fuel burners.
